GROUP FITNESS PRIMARY RENEWAL

1. You must earn a minimum of 12 continuing education credits (CECs) within two years since the date of your current certification. 6 of these credits must be IFTA continuing education credits and 6 additional credits approved by IFTA (AAAI, AFAA, AEA). If all of your credits are directly from IFTA, you can renew with only 10 credits.
2. You must maintain current adult level CPR/AED or ISR certification. CPR certifications from online or self-study courses will not be accepted.
3. Complete the renewal form sent to you 1 to 3 months prior to your expiration date. You can also print one on-line from our homepage.
4. Include appropriate fee(s):
   • Renewal fee prior to expiration date: $40.00
   • Renewal fee after expiration date, for up to 3 months: $50.00

SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION RENEWAL
*anything other than Group Fitness Primary

1. You must earn a minimum of 3 IFTA continuing education credits within 1 year of current certification date. These can be obtained by attending IFTA onsite workshops, IFTA approved conferences or IFTA home study courses (available on-line).
2. Current CPR/AED or ISR certification is required for Personal Trainer Certification.
3. Complete the renewal form sent to you 1 to 3 months prior to your expiration date. You can also print one on-line from our homepage.
4. Include appropriate fee(s):
   • Renewal fee prior to expiration date: $20.00
   • Renewal fee after expiration date for after 3 months: $25.00
   • Renewal fee, if you hold a current IFTA Group Fitness Primary Certification: $15.00 / $20.00

Elite Program

To Qualify:
Have current IFTA Group Fitness Primary Certification AND Have 3 or more current IFTA Specialty Certifications AND Have proof of current ISR or CPR.
*YOU MAY APPLY FOR ELITE STATUS AT THE TIME YOUR GROUP FITNESS PRIMARY CERTIFICATION COMES UP FOR RENEWAL.   YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE 12 CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT REQUIREMENTS.  6 OR MORE CREDITS MUST BE OBTAINED FROM IFTA.  6 OR LESS OF THESE CREDITS MAY BE OBTAINED FROM AAAI, AFAA, OR AEA.  *If you have Specialty Certifications that come due earlier than your Primary (but the same year), GO ELITE EARLY and enjoy the benefits.  *SPECIAL BONUS- IF 10 OF YOUR 12 REQUIRED CEC'S ARE OBTAINED FROM IFTA, YOU MAY RENEW WITH 10 CREDITS.

Your Elite Benefits:
All 1 year specialty certifications become 2 years and renew on Primary Renewal date.  This is effective the year your Primary Certification comes due.  Any new certifications earned following Elite renewal year will become 2 years on the next Elite renewal date.  Elite status wall certificate and wallet card.

Receive 5% discount on continuing education programs and 10% on certifications
Receive 5% discount on all product-including music
Be eligible for added IFTA incentives/bonuses (as they become available)

Elite Cost:

• Renewal fee prior to expiration date: $80.00
• Renewal fee after expiration date, for up to 3 months: $90.00

Could save $5-$25 dollars contingent on the number of specialty certifications you currently hold.

Platinum Program

To Qualify:
You must have five (5) or more current IFTA Specialty Certifications (excluding Group Fitness Primary)
*YOU MAY APPLY FOR PLATINUM STATUS AT THE TIME ONE (1) OF YOUR SPECIALTY CERTIFICATIONS COMES UP FOR RENEWAL.  YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE THREE (3) IFTA CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.

Your Platinum Benefits:
All one (1) year specialty certifications renew on the same date.  Any new certifications earned following Platinum renewal will be added on the next Platinum renewal date.

Platinum Cost:

• Renewal fee prior to expiration date: $65.00
• Renewal fee after expiration date, for up to 3 months: $75.00

A savings of $15-$60 depending on the number of specialty certifications your currently hold.

Gold Program

To Qualify:
You must have three or four (3-4) or more current IFTA Specialty Certifications (excluding Group Fitness Primary)
*YOU MAY APPLY FOR GOLD STATUS AT THE TIME ONE (1) OF YOUR SPECIALTY CERTIFICATIONS COMES UP FOR RENEWAL.  YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE THREE (3) IFTA CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.

Your Gold Benefits:
All one (1) year specialty certifications renew on the same date.  Any new certifications earned following Gold renewal will be added on the next Gold renewal date.

Gold Cost:

• Renewal fee prior to expiration date: $40.00
• Renewal fee after expiration date, for up to 3 months: $50.00

A savings of $10-$25 depending on the number of specialty certifications your currently hold.

COURSE PETITION
If you wish to petition acceptance of CECs for a workshop that has not been previously approved by IFTA, you must submit the following:

1. For Group Fitness Primary certification you may only petition up to 6 non-IFTA approved credits. For Specialty certifications you may only petition 2 out of the 3 credits required. The other 1 credit must be from IFTA.
2. Submit the course title, instructor and the nationally recognized organization providing the workshop.
3. Outline of the workshop including breakdown of lecture and practical time.
4. Proof of completion
5. $20 fee per course petition ($15.00 each for two or more). Must also include regular renewal fees.
