Well respected author and expert in the fitness industry, Joe Cannon, lists IFTA as Internationally Recognized in “Personal Fitness Training: Beyond the Basics” edition 2.
IFTA is Approved and Verified by the U. S. Federal government.
For any certification it is recommended that you register, pay, and receive your materials at least 2 weeks in advance. Some register at the last minute and are able to complete the course successfully.
It’s a good idea to study the materials prior to attending the certification. Typically, on the day of the event, you will have lecture (covering the study guide/manual and material on the exam), “hands-on” training (practical movement), as well as a written & practical exam.
For the Personal Trainer and Group Fitness certifications you are required to show current proof of CPR or ISR, there is a 3 month grace period if you do not show proof on the day of your certification. ISR ($30) stands for IFTA Safety Requirement and is similar to CPR.
It can take up to 4-6 weeks to get your results.
IFTA does not issue refunds. If you are unable to attend an event that you have registered for, you will not lose your entire investment. We provide credit vouchers for CEC’s / products. There is a $35 processing fee per $25-$100 spent.
If you want to move your scheduled registration date to another date / location there is a $75 “transfer fee”. Why? Because IFTA is counting on you being there and is paying a presenter to lead the course(s) “Live” in person.
Consider this: the transfer fee is $75 and the Certification re-test fee (if failed the exam) is $55.
IFTA is not responsible for acts of god, nature, climate, war, riots, and/or labor strikes that may impact an Upcoming Event. It is rare, but should any of these acts happen resulting in an IFTA cancellation of the Event – credit vouchers in the full amount will be issued.
