Patricia Ochoa
Patricia is currently a Professor of Exercise Science at Chattanooga State Community College where she has taught since 1998 after completing her doctorate in Exercise Science at The University of Alabama. She has been certified as a Group Fitness Instructor since 1985 and been active in the field ever since.
Patricia was introduced to IFTA in 2000 and has received several certifications throughout her career. Currently, she has active certifications in Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Indoor Cycling. She provides students at the college with the opportunity to become IFTA certified through a college course followed by IFTA Certification Exam.
In addition to teaching at the college, Patricia teaches Indoor Cycling classes at the Sports Barn and for Echelon Fit in Chattanooga. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hikes, walks, and SUP.
